Volunteer Waiver & Release of Liability

Thank you for volunteering with the Humanitarian Emergency Response Organization (HERO). Your time, effort, and heart help us serve communities in crisis.

By volunteering, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

I understand that volunteering with HERO may involve physical activity, use of equipment, transportation, and being present in disaster-affected areas. I accept full responsibility for any risk of injury, illness, property damage, or loss that may occur during volunteer activities.

I hereby release and hold harmless HERO, its officers, board members, staff, volunteers, partners, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation as a volunteer.

In the event of an emergency, I authorize HERO to secure medical care for me, and I accept financial responsibility for any related costs.

I give HERO and it's affiliates permission to use photographs, video recordings, or testimonials of me for public awareness, fundraising, or promotional purposes, without compensation.

I agree to conduct myself respectfully, follow the instructions of team leaders, and represent HERO with integrity. I understand that failure to do so may result in termination of my volunteer involvement.

I confirm that I have read this waiver in full, understand its contents, and voluntarily agree to these terms. I understand that by typing my name on the volunteer form, I am providing my legal signature and agreement to this waiver.
